WHO WE ARE

The Elizabethtown Area Republican Committee (EARC) is the local grassroots organization representing Republican voters throughout the Elizabethtown Area. Our committee members work within their neighborhoods and precincts to strengthen the Republican Party, support conservative candidates, and help ensure voters stay informed and engaged.

We believe strong communities start with active citizens, and our committee members serve as the foundation of Republican leadership at the local level.

What is a Republican Committee Person?

A Republican Committee Person (sometimes called a precinct committeeperson or committee member) is a local party official elected by Republican voters within a specific voting precinct.

Committee members serve as the grassroots representatives of the Republican Party, helping organize voters, support Republican candidates, and keep their communities informed about elections and local issues.

They play an important role in connecting local voters with the Republican Party and strengthening conservative leadership at the community level.

How the Position is Structured

Each voting precinct elects two Republican committee members:

• One man
• One woman

Committee members are elected by Republican voters every two years during the primary election in even-numbered years.

If a vacancy occurs between elections, the committee may appoint someone to fill the position until the next election.

WHAT WE DO

Organizing Voters

• Register new Republican voters
• Encourage participation in primary and general elections
• Maintain connections with Republican voters in our communities

Supporting Campaigns

• Distribute campaign literature and yard signs
• Knock on doors and make phone calls for candidates
• Assist candidates and volunteers during election cycles

Recruiting Leaders

Identify and recruit strong Republican candidates for offices such as:

• School Board
• Borough Council
• Township Supervisor
• Mayor
• Magisterial District Judge

Why Committee Members Matter

Republican committee members play an important role in shaping the future of the party at the local level.

They help identify strong candidates, mobilize voters during elections, and participate in the Republican Party’s endorsement process.

Through grassroots organization and local involvement, committee members help ensure that Republican values and leadership remain strong in our community.

Committee members are the grassroots foundation of the Republican Party.

Each voting precinct in the Elizabethtown Area is represented by Republican committee members who help organize voters and strengthen the grassroots of our party.
